The Active Aging Center provides senior services, activities, transportation, a lunch program and delivery of “Meals on Wheels”.

Recreation

Lisbon Meadows Park, at 37 South Burnham Highway (Route 169) consists of 59 acres with trails, tennis court, baseball and soccer fields. The Newent Meeting House Green, 12 South Burnham Highway, is home to the Lisbon Farmers Market, held seasonally from late June through late September. Lisbon has a public boat launch to the Shetucket River and a 1,000 foot bike-way located on 26 acres of Town property just off of the road into the property at 435 South Burnham Highway. The Trail Committee has established walking trails on Town owned property at the Burnham Tavern (62 Kimball Road is the trail entrance).

Recreation activities (field scheduling, youth and adult sports programs and bus trips) are under the direction of the Lisbon Recreation Committee. Click HERE for more information.

Lisbon Farmers Market

The Lisbon Farmers Market is a town initiated, CT Grown market managed by a town committee and held seasonally (late June – late September) at the Newent Meeting House Green, 12 South Burnham Highway. For more information, visit the Lisbon Farmers' Market page.

Recycling

The Town provides curbside recycling. Recycling bins are available through the Selectman's Office during normal business hours.

Transfer Station

The Willimantic Waste Paper (WWP) Transfer Station is located on Rood Road in Plainfield and is available to Lisbon residents two days a week. 

Incinerator

Residents are allowed to dispose of normal household garbage, free of charge, at the Wheelabrator Lisbon, Inc. facility, located on 425 South Burnham Highway.
