Lisbon's Little Free Library

Little Free Library

Thanks to a collaboration between Slater Library and a Scout named Ryan, Lisbon now has a Little Free Library in its community! Located at the Lisbon Town Hall with easy access at the entrance to the parking lot, our Little Free Library is listed on the world-wide Little Free Library map through www.littlefreelibrary.org (charter #150599). The library was installed in July by our public works department, but was taken down in August for repairs to its roof. It has since been re-installed, however, and is re-stocked and ready for you to stop in, share a book or take a book.

Little Free Library is a nonprofit organization based in St. Paul, Minnesota. Their mission is to be a catalyst for building community, inspiring readers, and expanding book access for all through a global network of volunteer-led Little Free Libraries. The organization currently boasts having over 150,000 Little Free Libraries listed world-wide. You can download the app and find a Little Free Library anywhere you go! https://littlefreelibrary.org/app/

Please note: if your book or books won't fit inside the Little Free Library, please do NOT leave them outside! Take them with you and try again another time.
